Responsibilities:
As the Maintenance Group Leader, you will be responsible for a small to medium group of maintenance employees. You will manage the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems.
Other responsibilities will include:
- You will analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes
- You will propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area
- Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area
- You will keep regular contact with partners outside the work group
- You will provide direction to small group of technical employees
- You may evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree: Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer or other related Engineering field/experience. .
-Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
-Maintenance experience, preferably in the automotive industry; highly valued in paint shop applications.
-Shift flexibility: Availability to work on rotating shifts (4x3 schedule).
-English proficiency: Intermediate conversational level, with ability to express complete technical ideas.
Technical expertise :
-Experience with industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet
-Familiarity with Fanuc robots
- Knowledge of electric motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), preferably Allen-Bradley.
-PLC programming and troubleshooting
-Experience in pneumatics, lubrication, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and power transmission components.
-Proven experience managing and leading maintenance personnel directly
- Experience with seal application robots
-Knowledge of industrial conveyors (chain, roller table, elevators, overhead).
-Familiarity with RSNetWorx. and RSLinx communication tools.
