Are you in? Your Role As a Customer Application Engineer, you will directly engage with our automotive customers and collaborate with talented teams across Infineon. Key responsibilities in your new role Provide technical support to customers and internal sales teams by analyzing, collaborating and resolving embedded hardware, firmware and software issues Work on automotive industry projects and troubleshoot technical challenges using investigative research and debugging skills Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Hardware and Software development Develop and publish technical articles, code examples and proof of concepts for the Infineon Community Utilize equipment and tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers and schematic/layout tools to identify and resolve issues Program and debug software in C and assembler Document solutions and share knowledge with internal and external stakeholders Your Profile We are seeking a proactive team player with strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the drive to solve technical challenges. Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Minimum 2 years of experience in applications, software or firmware development as an embedded system designer (Mandatory) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Mandatory) Experience with systems engineering, product development or applications engineering in semiconductor or systems companies (Mandatory) Strong knowledge of Ethernet transceivers, Ethernet switching, networking architecture and schematic/layout tools (Mandatory) Proven skills to write and debug software in C or assembler and to use equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and network analyzers (Mandatory) Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken (Mandatory) Interest in learning new technologies and strong problem-solving and research abilities (Mandatory) Contact: Alan Olivarez, LinkedIn #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
