Hybrid: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the design of components for the Thermal Coolant Plumbing subsystem.
- Comply with design standards, best practices, and global standards.
- Utilize virtual design verification tools (SimSolid, Axion, Nastran).
- Support other designers with design tasks, component requirements, or other virtual integration activities.
- Design components based on DFMEA methodology.
- Apply Design-to-Cost principles when developing components.
- Apply and adhere to Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly, and integration knowledge to component and subsystem designs and their usage requirements.
- Apply and adhere to Design for Service principles.
- Document and maintain material specifications, mass, and other part details within the mathematical model file.
- Perform complete NX analysis for the subsystem and apply results with support from DLT or Senior Designer.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to meet product design requirements.
- Integrate component designs into Thermal and Interior subsystems.
- Stay ahead of current product developments and trends within the area of responsibility.
- Share lessons learned with designers and recommend updates to best practices.
- Develop mathematical data (models) or virtual designs for complex components and subsystems.
- Communicate proactively with the Design Manager, DLT, and DRE regarding project status, timing, and technical issues.
- Ensure high quality and timely mathematical release of components and subsystems.
- Actively identify new learning areas and leverage learning opportunities.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aeronautical, Electromechanical) or related field (graduated or in the process of graduation).
- CAD software proficiency (NX).
- Advanced English.
