The Business Intelligence and Data Management Manager is responsible for:
- Data Strategy: Responsible for the development and delivery of a Business Intelligence (BI) Strategy to enable efficient, accurate, and flexible reporting and analysis.
- Data Strategy: Build and maintain a local centre of competence with regards to a standardized business intelligence and data management process, including training and coaching on BI techniques and tools.
- Data Governance: Drive the local Data Governance framework with a focus on organizational access, proper data usage and approval documentation; alignment with other local and regional standards.
- Data Governance: Responsible for defining and developing guidelines for Data Management and Governance in the business context (roles, standards, etc.) considering the requirements regarding information security and data protection and the overarching DTO-guidelines towards the Data Transformation Office.
- Data Management: Responsible, as owner of a business object, for the data quality, provision, linking and availability of data in the technical context towards the Data Transformation Office.
- Data Management: Responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and realizing potentials from the data in the technical context towards the Data Transformation Office.
- AI Strategy: Develop and oversee the organization's AI strategy, establish governance frameworks, and ensure the responsible deployment of AI models in alignment with business objectives.
- Process Innovation: Drive innovation by bringing best practices for AI, automation and data anlytics, bring external ideas into the company, driving the departments.
- AI Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven insights and automation and ensure the responsible deployment of AI models, including monitoring for bias, fairness, and transparency.
- Data and Reporting product owner – responsible to develop and implement a process to measure, monitor, control, and enhance data quality.
- Work closely with leaders across the business to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions
- Use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques to proactively leverage insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modelling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
- Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
Key accountabilities of the function.
- Oversee the design and delivery of solutions, reports and insights that analyze business functions and key performance metrics.
- Create, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in all areas of the business.
- Organize and proactively drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of the team and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Lead AI and Data Governance strategy and implementation.
- Has a business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities.
- Will apply exhaustive knowledge of AI and data analysis to solving real-world problems faced by our company and finding opportunities for improvement across multiple projects, teams and business units.
- Regular communication with the various FS departments to provide insights into business topics, problems and provide resolutions and/or recommendations based on data.
- Presenting analytics and recommendations to the senior management team as a key element in the development of strategic business initiatives or projects
- Ongoing communication and collaboration with FG to ensure data accuracy within the various systems and reporting tools.
Qualifications.
- Computer or Data Science, Statistical Analysis, Math, IT.
- 5 + years of data analytics work experience (monitoring, managing, manipulating, and drawing insights from data).
- 1-3 years of people management experience.
- Financial Services/Banking/Insurance or auto industry experience is strongly preferred.
Additional Skills.
- Skilled in relational databasing - expert SQL programming skills; Python/R an asset but not required
- Expert user of data visualization software (Tableau)
- Advanced computer skills in all Microsoft Office applications
- Well-developed communication, collaboration, interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Experienced managing, coaching, developing direct reports.
- Understanding of and experience using data mining / analytical concepts and statistical techniques to draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations for the business
- Experience using analytical techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing profitability and other key business outcomes
- Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to make decisions
- Proactive, independent problem solver, self-motivated, results driven and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong organizational and analytical skills
Compensation
The compensation range for this role is $77,000 - $116,500, with variations based on factors like experience, education and skills. Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
