This is a Software Engineering Leadership position, that will lead the Software Engineering function in Ford Pro Tech India, with oversight of 150 plus Software Engineers.
What you'll do
- Provides the technical direction for the product group by guiding teams to build and deliver foundational cloud capabilities
- Works closely with the Product Group Managers to include continuous technical improvement in the Product Group roadmap
- Collaborates with other Engineering Managers to reduce complexity across the portfolio, enhance interoperability between services, and make key design decisions across the portfolio
- Clearly communicate technology strategy and vision to team members and internal and external stakeholders
- Provide thought leadership for the development, structure, technology, and tools used within Ford Pro
- Design and deliver industry-leading products and services to maximize value and productivity for commercial customers
- Be involved in full stack development and implement end-to-end components of proprietary software products
- Innovate and operate with an iterative, agile and user-centric perspective.
What you need
- Clearly communicate technology strategy and vision to team members and internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure engineering excellence (e.g. best practices and quality) is achieved within product line
- Implement robust CI/ CD processes and development methodologies in Software Engineering within the Product Line
- Collaborate with other Product Line Anchors to reduce complexity across the portfolio, enhance interoperability between services, and make key design decisions
- Provide thought leadership for the development, structure, technology, and tools used within Ford Pro.
