What you'll do
To provide day-to-day support to the Quality Inspection Manager of Composite Inspection Department, metallic inspection department and NDT over the weekend shift. Focus on quality inspection of in-house and subcontracted Components to meet our programme delivery.
Main Duties
- Ensure all manufactured components conform to design specification using metrology tools, 1st principal measurements or NDT techniques.
- Ensure department adherence to business-critical process data capture requirements including Time Evaluation System (TES) and the Manufacturing Execution System 9MESTEC).
- Monitor KPI’s for productivity within the department and enact measures as required to achieve.
- Escalation of non-conforming parts via the NCR process.
- Embed best-practice metrology processes or NDT processes to optimise department productivity.
- Management and operational ownership of department Operational Performance Management system.
- Manage department personnel discipline and timekeeping.
- Identify and implement department changes to optimise overall performance and output.
- Ensure thorough handovers to the next shift to enable seamless transition.

Qualifications and Experience Level
- Degree or similar in engineering.
- Demonstrated experience working in Quality Inspection or NDT department required.
- Experience in managing a small team is desirable.
- Experience working in motorsport / F1 industry is beneficial.
