What you'll do
You'll be supporting departments in developing and maintaining Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and SOPs. You'll lead accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and action planning. You'll conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and legal standards. You'll promote safety awareness through toolbox talks and collaboration with the H&S committee. You'll advise on COSHH, PPE, and other key safety topics. You'll support contractor control, RAMS reviews, and statutory inspections.
What you need
You'll need a NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent) - essential. An auditing qualification - desirable. You'll need experience in a manufacturing or high-performance environment. You'll need strong knowledge of PUWER, DSEAR, LOLER, COSHH, and other key H&S areas. You'll need excellent communication and report writing skills. You'll need confident using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). You'll need a resilient, empathetic, and engaging approach to influencing change.
