What you'll do
You'll assist in the administration of VGO's global, training platform. This role will support senior technology positions with user administration, content, and system enhancements to include configuration, customization, testing and troubleshooting.
- Supports in the administration of the training platform (course uploads, enrollments, user accounts, course descriptions, notifications, troubleshooting, testing, support mailbox, etc.).
- Assists in generating metrics (and trends) as determined by the business (data, frequency, format, etc.) and communicate as appropriate.
- Partners with Sr. Learning Technologist on system enhancements, configuration and customization of the training platform to meet organization/client/customer needs.
- Provides technical support and training to users as needed in addition to creating support materials.
- Partners with Sr. Learning Technologist to work with internal teams and vendors to automate various processes and tasks within the learning environment.
- Helps to identify new LMS functionality needed by users and/or the organization; promote new content and functionality (enhancements or fixes) to the user community.
What you need
To succeed in this role, you'll need hands-on experience in LMS/LXP Administration and strong technical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in applicable fields of study, such as Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Training/Education, Technical Writing (or a related field).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in LMS/LXP Administration required.
- Minimum 2 years eLearning authoring tools (i.e., Articulate Storyline/RISE, Adobe Captivate, etc.); multimedia tools (i.e., Audacity, Camtasia, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
- Minimum 2 years using data to evaluate learning solutions and making improvement recommendations.
- Basic experience in instructional design, online development/graphic tools, and usability.
- Basic understanding of all types of learning technology - LMS/LXP/LRS/xAPI/Adaptive Learning/LCMS/TRMS/etc.
- Knowledge of user roles/privileges, common problems, functional implementations, maintenance, and reporting/visualizations.
- Knowledge of eLearning standards, including Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), AICC, and xAPI.
- Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as well as conceptualize and fulfill creative solutions.
- Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and fact-based decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Ability to learn new information and processes quickly.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Experience with remote training using asynchronous meeting tools such as NetMeeting, Webex, or LiveMeeting.
- Expert in use of Microsoft Office Suite PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
