What this role is and why it existsThis role is critical to the implementation of the IT Strategy to minimize custom software applications and maximize the enterprise approach of SAP.## What you'll doYou'll support the project by working with the accounting, finance, and SAP project teams in designing and deploying the most effective SAP solution based on requirements set forth by the business user community, as identified in global workshops and working sessions.- Develop a strong understanding of Valvoline Global Accounting and Finance principles and processes.- Translate business needs into business processes with an eye on fit-to-standard processes and maintaining a clean S4 core.- Participate in important project engagement teams regarding the design and implementation of SAP Finance & Controlling functionality.- Implement business process improvements in SAP S/4HANA and advise general accounting on best practices.- Provide consulting advice to business customers on Financial and Management Accounting processes in SAP.## What you needTo succeed in this role, you'll need:- Minimum 3 years of SAP Financial and Controlling experience in one or several of the below domains: Finance (FI): GL, New GL, AP, AR, AA; Controlling (CO): Cost & Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Project Systems (PS): Financial Project Management; Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC): Planning, budgeting, and forecasting.- Advanced understanding and experience with Financial and Management Accounting processes.- Excellent communication skills to establish credibility with leadership and to build problem-solving partnerships with internal customers.- Ability to work independently, as well as in project teams and take ownership and responsibility.- Ability to influence others who do not directly report to the role.- Strong time management skills, adaptability, and strong customer-facing experience.- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills are required; the ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues is critical.## Why this mattersThis role keeps a world-championship-winning F1 team running.
