What you'll do
You'll be responsible for independent tax consulting and support of the German parent company and other domestic companies in all matters of national tax law with a focus on income tax, balance tax law, and value-added tax. You'll also be responsible for tax-related support of M&A projects, determining domestic tax provisions in the annual financial statements in relation to statutory taxes, preparing domestic tax returns and tax balances, E-balances, and reviewing tax assessments; representing the company in tax appeals proceedings. You'll also be in contact with financial authorities and tax consultants, evaluating tax law changes and supporting their implementation in domestic group companies.
What you need
You'll need a successful economics degree or comparable education with a focus on tax law, experience in national tax law, preferably in the tax department of a company or in tax consulting. You'll also need a successful tax consultant exam or comparable qualification, proactive, goal-oriented, and structured working style, high sense of responsibility, and ability to work independently. You'll also need good MS Office skills, ideally experience with DATEV, and good English skills in writing and speaking.
