Job Purpose
The Process Team Lead is responsible for managing the activities withing the Production Department to ensure our All-required documents are developed and in place, process layouts and time studies are completed, and all required training is completed in a timely and effective manner.
What you'll do
- Set priorities for trainers to ensure accurate training and identifying gaps that create quality concerns or downtime.
- Act as primary liaison between Production Department and the regional Process Team to understand and implement regional standards.
- Develop countermeasure identification activities in production areas for process and training improvements.
- Lead and participate in the implementation of Production Business Plan initiatives and subsequent activities
- Develop self and team through mentoring, training, and performance reviews
- Ensure department guidelines/policies/procedures are managed consistently to ensure associate expectations are clearly understood.
- Establish and monitor workload of team members to ensure all projects are being supported.
- Serve as a technical expert and idea generator to implement creative and efficient methods and practices.
- Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required by department, plant and PS&P leadership.
What you need
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field, or equivalent work experience a plus
- 8+ years in Manufacturing related experience
- 2+ years in leadership role
- Understanding and application of quality concepts and tools
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and processes
- Ability to understand and analyse complex vehicle systems
- Good communication skills and experience with Excel. Power Point, Word, Outlook
- Proven leadership experience of diverse team
