What you'll do
Oversee program execution to achieve the organization’s strategic goals. Define scope, set goals, create roadmaps and timelines, and oversee the execution to ensure all milestones and budgeted targets are achieved.
Identify and mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure all efforts align with objectives.
Allocate resources effectively across the various teams, manage program budgets, and track spending.
Identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, resolve conflicts, track open issues, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Keep all stakeholders informed of program progress, status, and any issues.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program success and identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
Champion the quoting process (including timing and deliverables) for prototypes and production.
Lead design-for-manufacturing initiatives and provide ongoing feedback to stakeholders.
Manage all testing and prototype related activities ensuring standards and maintained and requirements met.
Oversee kickoff and approval of purchased components, tooling, gauges, and fixtures.
Participate in specification, sourcing, and negotiation of assembly and tooling contracts in collaboration with Process Engineering.
Approve tooling and line equipment for payment after successful in-house trials.
Arrange and authorize packaging development with packaging and process engineering teams.
Coordinate process sign-off and ensure readiness for production.
Work with the Quality Department to prepare and review PPAP submissions.
Initiate and coordinate new program releases and engineering changes through the production ECN system.
Ensure containment and stabilization of new processes and parts prior to full production.
Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, FEA, product drawings, control plans, and design reviews.
Liaise directly with customers (engineering, purchasing, project teams) regarding feasibility, risks, and the Statement of Work.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and applicable customer specific requirements.
Work in a safe manner at all times.
Adopt, practice, and support Kaizen principles and concepts including GEAR activities.
Follow all Company procedures and policies and work in compliance and conform to standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
