What you'll do
Delivering innovative engineering solutions. Design advanced models and drawings of a variety of car components and chassis design. Structural analysis and optimisation of the car components to guarantee solutions with minimum weight, adequate reliability and safety, and meeting the required stiffness targets. Verification of designs through own calculations, analysis and CAE. Ensuring the success of the design from inception through to production. Liaise with the Chief Designer and Engineers to improve and confirm the design to achieve maximum car performance. Use theoretical knowledge of material science and mechanical engineering to resolve difficult problems as they arise.
What you need
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
- Educated to MEng or BEng degree level in Motorsport, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering, and have good knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably CATIA V5.
- Understand the latest manufacturing techniques and materials, and you should have meticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills, and share our determination to deliver the very best results.
