As a Field Application Engineer on our Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketing team you work hand-in-hand with our customers, enabling them to transform our products into cutting-edge designs, all while building long-lasting partnerships that thrive on success Are you in? Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role As a FAE focused on Infineon’s MCU portfolio, you will be the technical interface between customers, Technical Marketing, Application Engineering, and Sales across EMEA. You will consult customers, translate requirements into solutions, and drive design-win activities for our CSS ICW MCU products in I² applications. Promote and drive design-in/win of Infineon’s ICW MCU portfolio in I² applications; proactively manage projects with Sales to achieve design-win targets and other KPIs Capture and synthesize customer and market requirements in I² applications and act as the voice of the customer to the MCU Product Line (CSS ICW MCU); feed structured insights into roadmaps and collaborate with Technical Marketing, Application, and System Engineering to shape value propositions and define new MCU products and derivatives Identify and qualify MCU “sockets” across customer applications/BOMs to maximize future business, leveraging Infineon’s broader portfolio (connectivity, sensors, memories, power, security) where relevant Act as a trusted technical interface and consultant to customers; derive customer requirements and market trends to develop system value propositions with internal stakeholders Execute lab evaluations, demos, and measurements; support bring-up, debugging, and validation for current and upcoming customer projects, including basic EMC/thermal considerations Support distribution partners (e.g., FAE trainings, end-customer seminars) to scale MCU portfolio adoption Leverage Infineon’s enterprise AI tools - such as AI sales assistants, secure generative copilots, and knowledge bots - to scale technical support, accelerate design‑win activities, and capture and share best practices across EMEA Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field 4+ years of experience as a Field Application Engineer or Design Engineer in embedded/MCU-based systems within industrial applications Strong expertise in MCU system design: device selection and architecture, peripherals and memory, real-time/RTOS concepts, connectivity (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I²C), and security features; experience with functional safety (e.g., IEC 61508/ISO 26262) is a plus Hands-on lab skills: board bring-up, debugging (JTAG/SWD), measurement and validation; understanding of layout, EMC/EMI basics, and system-level robustness Proven ability to translate customer requirements into system proposals and to articulate value propositions and competitive positioning Collaborative, customer-focused mindset: active listener, relationship builder, commercially awareness, and able to prioritize for business impact; including readiness for regular business trips Excellent communication skills in English; additional EMEA languages are a plus Contact: Theresa Albrecht #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
