The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Alignment Coordinator to support the successful launch of Alignment and Active Safety systems for a new vehicle program. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to the Quality Organization and General Assembly and play a critical part in ensuring the integrity and reliability of Alignment and Active safety systems during the launch and steady state operation. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee and guide the General Assembly and Quality Teams in processing and repair of Alignment and Active safety Systems ensuring issues are diagnosed, documented, and resolved efficiently. The Alignment Coordinator will also collect and analyze data to identify recurring concerns, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive effective solutions to improve DRR and EFTQ Metric B performance. They will also be responsible for Equipment verification, Audits and Analyzing Golden vehicle data.
What you'll Do:
- Expert in Caster, Camber, Toe, Z Height, Steering Wheel Angle and Headlight Aim
- Monitor compliance to Process Control Plans
- Monitor compliance to Tool & Equipment Bulletins
- Analyze JD Power & Warranty data to identify problems
- Analyze Final Line data to identify problems and assist with problem resolution
- Strive for processes that are stable, in control, and centered
- Monitor product component quality
- Participate in weekly Coordinator/ME/DRE conference calls
- Assist with periodic equipment validation tests
- Daily vehicle drive audits
- Act as Wheel Alignment and/or Headlight Aim ME Liaison to plan
- Perform Red X projects
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ Years’ experience in automotive suspension and dimensional subsystems
- Background or interest in working on vehicles
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of vehicle Alignment and Suspension systems, EOL testing, and diagnostic tools
- Ability to lead technical people and ability to effectively communicate highly technical subjects to non-technical people
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills
- Able to make decisions quickly with a high level of confidence
Preferred Qualifications:
- Former EOL experience with alignment systems
- Experience with Alignments, ADAS, Headlamp aiming, active safety systems
- Familiarity with plant operations
- ASE Certification or similar
