Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator ensures efficient and timely movement of goods through the supply chain by managing transportation, documentation, and communication between internal teams, suppliers, and carriers. This role is critical for maintaining cost-effective and compliant logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inbound Shipments
- Assure compliance to plant requirements to comply with the day to day operations.
- Monitor delivery timelines and resolve delays proactively.
- Manage and resolve claims when these occur
- Liason between plant personnel and logistics providers
- Control and optimization of the use of expedited transportation including reduction strategies to minimize the premium cost
- Seek to propose, develop, and lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for GM's supply chain, when required
- Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, invoices, customs forms).
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
- Validation and approval of invoices from logistics providers.
- Cost & Performance Monitoring
- Track logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement KPIs for carrier performance and delivery accuracy.
- Problem-Solving & Communication
- Act as the point of contact for shipment issues.
- Provide timely updates to internal teams and customers.
- Resolve the Cority incidents in timely manner
- Identify problems, update or modify work methods that may be complex in the work area without the benefit of defined procedures.
- Promote GM's values and makes customer-focused decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Logistics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, -Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation coordination.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and logistics software.
- Strong understanding of customs and compliance regulations.
- Conversational English

- Analytical mindset for cost and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics management tools.
- Ability to make quick decisions in the event of contingencies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with international shipping and customs clearance.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and global trade compliance.
- Ability to work with advanced analytics or BI tools for logistics optimization.
- Advance English communication.
