This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Milford or Mountain View], you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role
The Group Strategy Manager, Marketing Applied Sciences (MAS) will lead the Corporate Brands squads, serving as the primary liaison between brand stakeholders and the MAS team. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on analytics expertise to drive performance marketing optimization across the GM Corporate Brands portfolio (e.g., OnStar, CCA, etc.) The ideal candidate will be an expert in performance marketing analytics, media optimization, and audience strategy, with proven ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations. As Group Strategy Manager, you will coordinate cross-functional teams of Strategists and Scientists while maintaining deep technical competency in marketing measurement and optimization. This position requires exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to streamline communication between technical teams and brand leadership to accelerate decision-making and drive marketing performance.
- Lead and coordinate the Corporate Brands squads, serving as the single point of contact between the brands and MAS analytics teams.
- Oversee performance marketing analytics initiatives including campaign optimization, audience selection, site engagement analysis, and media performance measurement.
- Collaborate directly with Corporate Brands leads to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact analytics projects that drive marketing performance.
- Coordinate between strategists and scientists within the squad to ensure seamless project delivery and knowledge sharing.
- Lead analytics support for performance marketing stand-ups, providing strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
- Drive adoption of next best actions and advanced analytics methodologies across the Corporate Brands marketing organizations.
- Manage squad resource allocation and project prioritization to maximize impact and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brand stakeholders, translating technical insights into actionable business strategies.
- Stay current on industry trends in performance marketing, media optimization, and marketing measurement to drive innovation within the squad.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 7+ years of experience in Marketing Analytics, Performance Marketing, or related strategic analytics roles.
- 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams in marketing measurement, media optimization, or audience strategy.
- Degree in Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or another quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong expertise in performance marketing analytics, including media mix modeling, attribution analysis, audience segmentation, and campaign optimization.
- roficiency in analytical tools and platforms such as Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with marketing technology platforms, media measurement tools, and performance marketing channels.
- Proven track record of managing complex analytics projects from concept to implementation with measurable business impact.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence both technical teams and senior brand leadership.
- Strong business consulting skills with ability to frame strategic problems and develop data-driven solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in automotive marketing or consumer durables preferred.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.

Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is: $110,000 - $184,10. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
