BMW Group Ireland is looking for a Project Manager; Events, Sponsorship & Employee Engagement – Maternity FTC. Expected dates Feb 2026 to May 2027.
This role is based in our head office in Santry, Dublin.
Accountable for managing the BMW brand experience in Ireland through Sponsorship and Event Management for both BMW and MINI brands, creating a positive impression and associations of its activities, products, and services.
What awaits you?
- Develop and execute an integrated events and brand partnership strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Digital, Sales, Customer) and align with BMW UK plans for cost efficiency.
- Manage end-to-end event delivery (in-person, virtual, hybrid), including coordination with external agencies, overseeing all stages from tender to post-event review.
- Utilise available internal resources effectively, including interns and UK product marketing, events and marketing to ensure efficient event execution.
- Define and track bespoke KPIs and metrics for sponsorships to align with BMW’s strategic objectives.
- Drive event outcomes focused on lead generation, pipeline development, and brand awareness.
- Produce post event reports, insights and recommendations following events.
- Stakeholder management to ensure execution of our events with the right guests, retailers and internal staff attending.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and organisational culture
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, events, and communication campaigns to foster a positive work environment.
- Measure and analyse employee engagement metrics, feedback, and survey results to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to align engagement activities with business goals and promote internal communication.
- Drive programs that increase employee motivation, productivity, retention, and overall well-being.
- Facilitate initiatives that strengthen team cohesion, collaboration, and connectivity across the organisation.
- Manage recognition and reward programs to celebrate employee achievements and reinforce company values.
Some out of hours and weekend commitments required; returned as leiu, as well as international travel as required for the role.
What should you bring along?
- 3rd Level primary degree with Masters preferred, or equivalent
- Experience in events, marketing or an appropriate communications / promotions role (client-side or agency).
- Proven ability to manage and communicate with multiple stakeholders
- The ability to both manage and inspire a team.
- Ability to work as part of a small team, supporting colleagues and developing strong relationships within the team
- Ability to build professional relationships across all channels with key partners both internally and externally
- Significant experience handling digital content and social media platforms
- Broad interest in and understanding of the motor industry and the competitive landscape, particularly in the premium product areas.
- An understanding of BMW & MINI brand attributes in order to identify requirements and positioning.
