What to Expect
To lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of Azure-based cloud infrastructure and services that support enterprise-scale digital operations. The Lead Cloud Engineer ensures that cloud solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business and technical objectives, while mentoring engineering teams and driving innovation in cloud practices.
What You'll Do
Architect and implement advanced Azure cloud solutions to meet performance, scalability, and security requirements. Lead the automation of infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Bicep. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud services with enterprise applications and DevOps pipelines. Monitor and optimise cloud environments for cost, performance, and reliability. Ensure compliance with security and governance policies across Azure services. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers and developers.Evaluate emerging Azure technologies and recommend adoption strategies.Contribute to cloud strategy and standards development in collaboration with architecture and security teams.
What You'll Bring
Understanding of enterprise IT systems and digital transformation strategies.Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in cloud environments.Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, AKS, App Services, Networking).Proven experience leading and influencing the technical development and operations of a Microsoft based cloud environmentProficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity management, and monitoring tools.Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.Personal Attributes;Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.Strong communicator and collaborator across technical and business teams.Passionate about mentoring and developing engineering talent.Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, evolving technology landscape.
