Purpose
This role will assist in the development of processes and tools in all aspects of the modern workplace technology area, ensuring continuous improvement through automation, and effective adoption of tools and technologies.
Accountabilities
- Provide 3rd line support and troubleshooting for end user and cloud solutions.
- Management of M365 tenant configuration, ensuring access is restricted to authorised devices and users.
- Management of enterprise collaboration tools and video conferencing platforms.
- Govern the end user client deployment tools, management tools, and processes.
- Management and optimisation of the end user experience, utilising endpoint monitoring and automated remediations.
- Management and configuration of endpoint security and hardening tools.
- Control of remote access solutions.
- Maintain patching level for end user client operating systems and software.
- Ensure all new solutions are documented and transitioned into service.
- Assessing new products and tools for potential use in enhancing IT service delivery.
- Investigating new and updated features within the Microsoft ecosystem and providing suggestions for improvements.
- Assisting other teams withing IT on major projects that contain end user deliverables.
- Assist in providing reporting to management.
- Establish and develop processes and procedures, advocating industry best practices.
- Participate with the on-call rota.
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Entra ID administration, including Identity Management, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, Tenant Restrictions.
- Microsoft Defender XDR.
- Azure resource management, monitoring and reporting.
- Automation and scripting, using a mixture of PowerShell, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, and Function Apps.
- Windows 10/11 Enterprise administration.
- macOS Administration
- Windows Server administration.
- Endpoint Management Technologies, including Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager, and Jamf Pro.
- Windows Domain technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and ADCS.
- Enterprise Endpoint security and hardening technologies.
- Remote Access technologies.
- Virtualisation technologies, including VMWare and Citrix XenServer.
- Strong troubleshooting and analysis abilities.
