KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
- Identifying hazards and working to mitigate them by implementing safety protocols.
- Ensuring that all team members are trained in safe working practices.
- Ensuring that products are produced consistently, meeting quality standards and specifications.
- Ensuring that the production process is constantly improved to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Coordination with maintenance to avoid downtime and production delays.
- Monitor hourly production vs. targets; perform 4P analysis and implement corrective actions and maintain the record
- Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and drive CAPA.
- Train and mentor operators on machining techniques, SOP, and JES(Job element sheet) and maintain the record of skill matrix
- Optimize indirect material usage to reduce costs.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:
- Collaborate with Team Leaders, Operators, Maintenance, Quality, and Process Improvement teams.
- Report performance and issues to Shift Leader
- Work closely with Kaizen and Process Improvement teams for layout and balancing changes.
- Coordinate with Stores and Planning for material availability and production scheduling.
External:
- Interface with Indirect consumable suppliers for performance feedback and optimization.
- Participate in audits and reviews with external stakeholders.

- Near miss/ First Aid cases
- DRR/ Customer complaints

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
QUALIFICATION:
Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Mechatronics)
EXPERIENCE: 5 Years relevant experience in 3C machine shop in powertrain plants with last role held for more than 2+ years managing 20+ peoples (more than 20+ machines) or complete machine shop in Internal Combustion Engine manufacturing setup. (Candidates not meeting experience criterion should not apply and will not be considered suitable)
Skills:
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Must have Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and process parameters.
- Familiarity with quality systems like ISO/TS and SPC techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Must have sound knowledge of Operational efficiency management on OEE and should be able to analyse losses, define and execute action plan to counter the losses.
- General technical understanding of installations, processes, risks, and safety aspects
- Proficiency in computer skills, specifically with tools and software defined by Stellantis, such as - Microsoft Office, SAP, other relevant tools and software
