WHAT THIS FELLOWSHIP ENTAILS:
The Social Media fellow will be a vital member of the Charlotte Motor Speedway Marketing team throughout the summer.
The Social Media fellow will assist with live coverage of premiere events, work and engage with local and national media, along with a variety of motorsports industry stakeholders. This paid fellowship requires the Social Media fellow to be on property 20-25 hours during the week, with extended hours during event weekends. When not working events, the Social Media fellow will assist the team through content creation and various social media projects/assignments. By applying for this role, you acknowledge that you will be required to work select weekends.
Fellowship Goals:
· Learn the craft of photography, videography, graphic design, social media coverage and response
· Learn how the Marketing department assists in the execution of promotions for events
· Gain practical experience through hands-on experience creating content
· Help execute event weekend social media coverage
· Support the planning and executing of social media campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree (Marketing, Communications/Public Relations, journalism, sport management majors preferred)
Skills/Experience
· Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices.
· Proficiency in photography and video editing software is a plus.
· Creative and innovative mindset with an eye for detail.
· Innovative thinker and self-starter
· Knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
· Understanding of social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
· High integrity and confidentiality
Work Hours
· Fellows must be able to work an average of 25-30 hours per week. Extended hours are required on select event weekends.

· April 24-26: American Rebel LightNHRA Four-Wide Nationals
· May 22-24: Coca-Cola 600 weekend
· June-July: Summer Shootout Series
