NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Manager, STEM Partnerships,based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.
The Manager, STEM Partnerships is responsible for managing key projects and partnership integrations supporting NASCAR’s long-term strategy and activations around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math). As part of the NASCAR IMPACT platform, the Manager develops and implements racing-themed STEM programs that engage NASCAR target audiences while building strong connections to the sport.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Evangelize NASCAR’s pursuit and embodiment of ‘STEM Excellence’ as a core pillar of the company’s NASCAR IMPACT platform.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of NASCAR’s evolving STEM strategy, including curriculum integration, in-school activation, digital experiences, special events and more.
- Work with NASCAR Official Partners to build and implement collaborative STEM programs that achieve shared company objectives and expand the sport’s footprint in the space.
- Build productive relationships with education partners, school districts and other related stakeholders around the development of NASCAR-themed STEM programs and experiences.
- Manage STEM initiatives that help drive the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, NASCAR’s Official Youth Community Partner, and engage Club youth across the country.
- Build and implement career-focused NASCAR STEM programming that builds awareness for and connection to STEM workforce opportunities in motorsports.
- Support NASCAR’s employee engagement and volunteer strategies via oversight of STEM-connected opportunities and integrations.
- Lead cross-functional planning and execution of at-track and/or in-market STEM events and activations, including on race weekends.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across STEM or STEM-adjacent departments such as Design & Development, Safety Innovation, Broadcast Production, Analytics & Insights, Gaming, etc.
- Manage measurement and evaluation related to NASCAR’s STEM platform and the pursuit of impact-driving KPIs; help plan and assemble the annual NASCAR IMPACT Report.
- Identify content and storytelling opportunities that communicate NASCAR’s STEM value proposition, the integral role of partners, and positive impact on community stakeholders.
- Contribute to additional focus areas of the NASCAR IMPACT platform including sustainability, community engagement and volunteerism.
- Assist with planning materials, measurement strategies, activation recaps, internal communications, etc.
- Travel: 20%, including weekends
Required skills / experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in STEM education, partnership marketing, youth programming, or nonprofit account management.
- Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder programs and deliver measurable results.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
- Comfortable presenting to both internal leadership and external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with digital learning tools or CRM systems is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 20%, including select race weekends.
