The Role:
Join the Customer Care and Aftersales (CC&A) Logistics Team as a Senior Logistics Project Lead. Drive strategic decision making across the Global Logistics and Containers Organization while contributing to a high-performing team of operations professionals. This role is central to logistics project execution and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Sales, Purchasing, GM IT, third-party vendors, and customers.
As part of the operations team, you will oversee the core of the CC&A Logistics Network—managing end-to-end logistics processes to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and accurate movement of goods throughout the supply chain. You’ll lead strategic and tactical execution of transportation projects while helping to shape future logistics network designs.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Strategic Planning and Process Improvement

Project leadership for WMS and ASRS transitions

DDS carrier change Project leadership

Strategizing future-state logistics processes and supporting transformation initiatives like WMS, ASRS, and customer enhancement tools

Analyzing cost drivers and operational performance to identify cost-saving opportunities
-
Generate new ideas and initiatives that optimize cost and customer service levels within the Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Logistics organizations

Monitor compliance and safety processes to continuously improve and reduce risk in logistics operations
Logistics Project Operations and Execution

Single point of coordination for logistics on cross-functional initiatives like WMS implementations, new operations start ups, technology implementations, etc.

Schedule and follow up on all unique and common new program shipments from both domestic and international suppliers

Manage end-to-end logistics initiatives across various internal and external teams to ensure timely execution, cost efficiency, and alignment with strategic goals
Stakeholder and Customer Engagement

Create an exceptional service experience for customers by contributing to the development and execution of logistics strategy

Serve as the single point of contact for inbound shipments to GM production plants

Communicate with customers periodically to gather feedback on logistics performance and identify improvement opportunities
Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Drive visibility, escalation, and remediation of shipments not meeting performance deliverables

Report weekly/monthly updates to operational and leadership teams
-
Manage third-party cross-docks and monitor KPIs from the facility
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
-
5+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, Warehousing/Operations, manufacturing, logistics or product development

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
-
Demonstrated success managing and delivering cross-functional supply chain projects.

10% travel within North America

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field

Manufacturing plant experience

Knowledge of Dangerous Goods compliance

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build alignment and drive cross-functional initiatives forward

Skilled in preparing and delivering executive-level presentations

Experience gathering and interpreting complex quantitative and qualitative data using statistical analysis methods, and able to develop tools for root causing and interpreting supply chain management processes

Expert in logistics processes, logistics optimization, and end to end supply chain management best practices
