Your Contribution
As an Emissions Test Engineer at MAHLE Powertrain, you will play a key role in supporting emissions testing within our Build & Test Department. You will ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the emissions testing facility, contributing directly to high-quality test data and continuous improvement of our testing capabilities.
- Support day-to-day emissions testing activities, ensuring accurate data collection and high-quality test outputs.
- Drive vehicle emissions cycles in both ambient and climatic test cells.
- Operate chassis dynamometers and emissions measurement equipment to defined procedures and standards.
- Carry out equipment and facility maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation.
- Identify and contribute suggestions for improving processes, equipment, and departmental efficiency.
- Work closely with test engineers, technicians, and project teams to deliver high-standard testing services.
- Ensure all work is performed in alignment with safety protocols and laboratory best practices.
Your Experience and Qualifications
We are seeking an organised and hands-on engineer with strong test facility experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in engineering, ideally within an automotive testing or development environment.
- Sound understanding of engine and/or vehicle testing processes, especially emissions-related activities.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including Risk Assessments and COSHH requirements.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to work with data collection systems and test software.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- High level of motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and respond effectively to operational demands.
