Chip Ganassi Racing is seeking a driven, curious, and relentlessly resourceful Entry-Level Sales Associate to help open new doors for team partnerships. You’ll specialize in top-of-funnel prospecting and deep research - mapping industries, brands, and decision-makers—so our senior sellers can convert interest into long-term, high-impact sponsorships. If you love turning cold starts into warm conversations and can translate research into action, this role is for you.
As a Business Development Associate, your key responsibilities include:
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Research and build targeted lead lists across key industries (tech, fintech, logistics, CPG, beverages, auto/EV, luxury, travel, health, and more).
- Source and qualify new accounts through email, phone, LinkedIn, events, and referrals.
- Craft tailored outreach that connects each brand’s goals to CGR’s powerful platform.
- Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings for senior sales executives.
Market Research & Insights
- Create brand and vertical briefs that highlight market size, growth drivers, and sponsorship trends.
- Map accounts to identify budget owners, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Track industry developments (funding, leadership changes, new campaigns) and share actionable insights weekly.
Sales Enablement & Support
- Draft email sequences, talk tracks, and short decks for outreach.
- Prepare meeting briefs with clear objectives and proof points.
- Log activity, maintain CRM data, and track progress toward goals.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing to create mock assets and concept pitches.
- Work with Events and Hospitality teams on race-weekend experiences.
- Collaborate with Analytics and Content teams to provide audience insights and performance data.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or 0–2 years of experience in sales development, business research, or partnerships (sports, media, or B2B preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication—especially the ability to craft a clear, engaging email.
- Curiosity and resourcefulness—you love researching, connecting dots, and finding patterns.
- Coachability, grit, and strong follow-through.
- Professional presence across calls, emails, and meetings.
- Experience with Pipedrive, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Sponsor United, Meltwater, Google Workspace, or Canva is preferred but not required
