This position is responsible for transporting and setting up equipment for race events. The role includes operating tractor-trailers, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth event execution. We are looking for a Class A CDL Truck Driver who takes pride in professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to and from racing events, adhering to all DOT safety regulations.
- Maintain the professional appearance of trucks, race sites, pits, and truck bay at all times.
- Conduct minor repairs and log maintenance issues for review by the Transportation Manager.
- Use established checklists to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are loaded and maintained.
- Assist with event setup and logistics, including:
- Lining up trucks
- Setting up tents, pits, toolboxes, and support equipment
- Handling tire/wheel maintenance
- Managing fuel, hoses, nitrogen bottles, and trailer connections
- Cleaning and stocking restrooms, and emptying trash
- Assisting mechanics with obtaining parts during races
- Maintain driver logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Participate in DOT drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Properly handle and maintain company property, including uniforms, tools, and electronic devices.
- Represent the team professionally, engaging with sponsors and guests during shop, pit, and garage tours.
- Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
- Support the team with additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Class A CDL preferred
- 2-3 years of over-the-road experience driving tractor-trailers.
- 2-3 years working in motorsports industry preferred.
- Proficiency in operating 18-gear transmissions.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform routine maintenance on tractor-trailers.
- Ability to read maps and navigate efficiently.
- Experience using hand tools for manual tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
