We are searching for an experienced Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team in Indianapolis. In this role, you’ll set up and operate CNC tooling centers to produce high-quality, tight-tolerance components that meet exact design specifications.
As a Machinist, your key responsibilities include:
- Set up CNC machines, position workpieces and tools, and adjust controls to achieve required tolerances.
- Operate machinery efficiently by monitoring feed rate and speed to ensure accurate production.
- Modify machine programming as needed to troubleshoot and improve processes.
- Perform quality control inspections by reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools to verify part specifications.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure functional, high-quality output.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all company and industry safety standards.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Minimum 2 years operating machining and turning centers or completion of machinist trade school.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Competency in arithmetic and computer operation.
- Experience using precision measuring devices.
- 3D modeling knowledge is a plus.
- Effective communication with engineers and team members.
