Your Role DES, a central department at Infineon, develops advanced methodologies for ASIC pre-silicon verification and validation. Traditionally, simulation paradigms like 'metric-driven' and 'constrained-random' for digital and mixed-signal ASICs have relied on DSLs such as Specman/e and SystemVerilog. However, Python-based verification, powered by frameworks like cocotb and modules such as PyUvm and cocotb-coverage is rapidly gaining traction in the industry. This internship focuses on developing and implementing techniques to make this innovative methodology accessible to our engineers. Key responsibilities in your new role: Literature Research: Conduct in-depth research to establish a strong theoretical understanding. Design Flow Exploration: Familiarize yourself with Infineon's design flow, leveraging LLM assistants for efficient learning and workflow optimization. Verification Testbench Development: Ramp up an existing cocotb/PyUvm testbench and develop Python-based verification IP or interfaces to SystemVerilog/PSS. Verification Methodology : Take on additional tasks to deepen your knowledge and skills in advanced verification methodologies. Result Documentation: Accurately document and analyze obtained results Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed: Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree Linux: Familiarity with Tcsh, Gnu Make, and basic scripting Programming: Good Python skills and basic SystemVerilog or C knowledge Analytical skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Verification experience: Prior experience in simulation-based ASIC verification Languages: Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus Please attach the following documents to your application: CV in English Certificate of enrollment at university Excerpt of the study regulations for the mandatory internship (if applicable) Latest grades transcript (not older than 6 months) High school report Contact: José Azevedo Further links: Find out what we are looking for in your CV Find out how the student application process works with us Discover our student website #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
