Staff Technical Program Manager, AV Integrity Platform
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Technical Innovation Center in Mountain View, CA three times per week, at minimum.
The Role
We are seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to drive execution across core vehicle software and systems responsible for data pipeline control, signal processing, safety compliance, and autonomous vehicle (AV) health monitoring.
This role will partner closely with engineering teams across perception, infrastructure, platform, and hardware to deliver a robust, scalable, and compliant data and health ecosystem spanning from sensor ingestion through AI stack integration.
What You’ll Do

Lead cross-functional planning and execution for systems covering:

Data pipeline control & configuration, data ingestion, and signal processing from sensor to AI stack

Diagnostics, power, and thermal management for onboard compute and sensor modules
-
Safety and compliance systems ensuring adherence to functional safety
-
AV health monitoring, system degradation, and fallback management
-
Stack launch and data recording pipelines supporting on-road and bench validation
-
Drive end-to-end program delivery, ensuring alignment between hardware, software, validation, and infrastructure teams

Build and maintain integrated schedules, dependency tracking, and risk registers to ensure on-time execution and system maturity progression

Collaborate with engineering leadership to define release milestones, success metrics, and readiness criteria

Partner with AI and infrastructure teams to optimize data throughput, latency, and reliability in sensor-to-stack pathways

Manage cross-team design and integration reviews, ensuring traceability across safety, diagnostics, and data compliance requirements

Provide visibility to executives and stakeholders through status reporting, executive dashboards, and risk mitigation summaries

Foster strong collaboration across AV team to ensure synchronized development and system validation

Drive budget planning and quarterly plannings

Monitor and manage risks, align dependencies, and drive corrective actions to meet program milestones.

Build strong documentation practices across Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheets
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
-
8+ years of experience in technical program management or systems engineering, in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or distributed systems

Proven experience managing complex data, control, or safety-critical software systems across multi-disciplinary teams

Strong understanding of embedded systems, diagnostics frameworks, and data processing pipelines

Experience with functional safety processes, compliance tracking, and validation cycles

Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional alignment skills
-
Ability to drive execution from early concept through launch and operational sustainment

Prior experience supporting AV.

Background working in automotive, aerospace, or other requirement-driven development environments.

Knowledge of AV software development pipelines and Continuous Integration systems.

The salary range for this role is $143,000 to $258,800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
