GRADUATE SUB ASSEMBLY ENGINEER
ABOUT THE ROLE
At M-Sport UK, we design, build, and run world-class competition cars that perform at the highest levels of international motorsport – including FIA World Rally Championship, World Rally Raid Championship, and various customer programmes. At the core of our success is the precision and reliability of every component we assemble.
We’re now looking for an ambitious and driven Graduate Sub Assembly Engineer to join our high-performance team. This is your chance to get hands-on with the components that power our cars to the podium and grow your career within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Whilst working in our Sub Assembly Department, you will work alongside the Engineering and Design teams being the interface between them and the department.
The role and responsibilities include:
Assist with the preparation, assembly, and development of key mechanical components and systems (suspension systems, brakes, pedals, and associated sub-assemblies).
Support planning and forecasting to keep projects and component builds on track.
Learn and improve processes and procedures across the department.
Prepare and issue technical documentation to guide builds, servicing, and development work.
Conduct quality and build checks to maintain high standards.
Assist with tracking and lifing of components to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Analyse and report on issues to help improve component performance and durability.
Liaise with Design and Rally Engineers to implement updates and feedback from testing and events.
Participate in assembly builds, pre-event preparation, and post-event strip downs where needed.

We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
Educated to BEng or MEng degree level in Motorsport Engineering/Technology, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering.
Fundamental understanding of mechanical systems and vehicle components.
A genuine passion for motorsport and a drive to progress within a high-performance engineering environment.
Keen to learn and ready to get hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
Have a meticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills, and share our determination to deliver the very best results.
Pride yourself on delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
Preferred Experience:
Previous work experience in the motorsport industry on an industrial placement year, or hands on practical experience (either volunteering on race weekends or formula student) would be beneficial.
