What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Display GM Behaviors and promote safety policies and practices.

Manage planned and unplanned facility projects at two vehicle assembly sites.

Provide weekend and off shift engineering support as required.
-
Provide project oversite on weekends when required.
-
Be on call for in frequent facility emergencies as they happen.
-
Manage contractor activity utilizing the GM “safety contract management” process.
-
Provide engineering and technical support to onsite “SA’s” Service Providers.
-
Manage Projects utilizing Archi bus.
-
Provide input to facilities asset sustainment projects using Maximo and GM’s GPR process.
-
Provide engineering estimates for budgeting and future project forecasting.
-
Own and execute one or more of the GM workplace safety systems performance standards.
-
Manage and update project files using ACAD and GM shared file storage
-
Communicate proactively with customer organizations from planning to completion of projects.
-
Provide technical support to the Facilities maintenance teams.
-
Support both production and plant maintenance organizations.
-
Be self-motivated and a self-starter. Proactively look for opportunities to improve.

Support plant BIQ certification and GMS processes / activities.
-
Support departmental BPD goals and objectives.
-
Support the GM Suggestions program if required.
-
Background in structural engineering would be a benefit but not a requirement.
