AP Racing is proud to offer placement opportunities to undergraduates who are seeking a year’s purchasing experience within a globally recognised company. This placement is to begin in July 2026, and the details are as follows:
Role
Use the ERP system for purchase orders, price and invoice queries, data interrogation, and validation; coordinate with Finance and Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies.
Analyse and manipulate Excel data to identify trends, cleanse data, and provide clear findings.
Maintaining purchasing databases, prepare detailed reports and KPIs for management.
Liaise with suppliers and other departments to clarify data, resolve issues and communicate delays.
Support Capex review, monitor supplier risk, preparing RFQ, assess returned data and raise POs.
Desirable Skills
Microsoft Office – Mostly Excel for data analysis, trend identification and reporting.
ERP System Experience.
Basic technical product and risk knowledge.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meetings and deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
What We Want From You
Undergraduate in their penultimate year studying a degree, on track for a 2:1 or above (Business Management, Finance, Accountants, Mathematics or similar)
Proactive, self-motivated, eager to learn with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Analytical mindset with a willingness to develop procurement and business knowledge.
Able to work in a team, communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
Applicants must be returning to university to finish their degree after completion of the placement in order to be considered eligible.
