What this role is and why it exists
The purpose of the Xtrac track support vehicle is to ensure that Xtrac Leadership, Engineers and Technicians have a base whilst at the track. Track presence is a contractual requirement at each Cup race to support NASCAR, as the transmissions are sealed, and customers are not permitted to work on the transmissions themselves.
What you'll do
- Knowledge of basic business processes, job function, and follow all Xtrac policies & procedures.
- Loading and unloading of the support vehicle(s), ensuring all equipment, tools, gearboxes are adequately stowed, tied down, secured before each trip.
- Maintain excellent cleanliness and overall presentation of the vehicles for brand presentation for Xtrac staff, customers, and guests at the track.
- Follow all applicable DOT, DMV, State, Federal highway safety rules & regulations.
- Meet schedules, timelines, and deadlines appropriately and safely.
- Ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition by conducting pre and post trip inspections.
- Report any issues or concerns immediately to the Facilities Coordinator, and support the Xtrac team with logistics regarding repairs/servicing between events.
- Proper and timely reporting of all traffic incidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, violations and damage to vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with trackside support (e.g. moving equipment to and from customer teams), Xtrac personnel, customers and guests, and maintain stock of appropriate snacks/drinks etc.
- Perform trackside set up and tear down duties, including but not limited to, connecting to shore power, Starlink, track feed, Xtrac flags, mats, chairs, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested (i.e. Movement of Xtrac team members to and from airports), including returning to the Xtrac office at appropriate times for re-stocking, servicing etc.
- Accurately record /log and report all business-related expenses promptly.
What you need
- Required to be able to lift/move 40lbs (up to 75lbs)
- DOT Rules and Regulations (Including IFTA) Knowledge of motor vehicles
- Knowledge of RV’s
- High level of attention to detail
- ‘CDL A’ License and Clean Driving Record
- Valid Medical Certification: When Applicable
- Required to pass DOT drug screens: When Applicable
- ELD Software knowledge (MOTIVE in-vehicle gateway): When Applicable
