AP Racing is proud to offer a Quality Inspection placement opportunity to undergraduates who are seeking a year’s industrial experience within a globally recognised company. This placement is to begin in July 2026 and the details are as follows:
Role
Supporting the principal inspector and fellow colleagues with workload, aims, and visions of the department. Developing a wide range of soft and hard skills, liaising both internally and externally across various departments, and communicating with suppliers.
Follow procedures to inspect AP Racing products – understanding the history of parts, ensuring correct documentation is in place, checking visually and dimensionally to ensure high quality components are released.
Students will receive training in understanding engineering drawings and use a variety of metrological equipment, whilst being exposed to the full range of AP Racing products, gaining a better understanding of brake and clutch systems.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of small tooling for assembly and semi-automation
2D Technical Drawing
Microsoft Office Suite
What We Want From You
Undergraduate studying an engineering degree in Automotive/ Mechanical/ Motorsport/ Manufacturing Engineering (or similar) for at least 2 years, on track for a 2:1 or above.
Willing to learn new skills, good at problem solving with attention to detail.
Passion for engineering, willing to work proactively and be self-motivated.
Proficient project management skills, able to work in a team and communicate effectively.
Applicants must be returning to university to finish their degree after completion of the placement in order to be considered eligible.
