As Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in supporting the legal and commercial operations of The Cadillac Formula 1® Team. You will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer, Senior Legal Counsel and various departments across the organization to deliver sound legal guidance that supports our competitive and commercial ambitions.
- Advising on all commercial contracts across the business, including goods, services and manufacturing agreements, consultancy agreements, non-disclosure agreements and letters of engagement
- Working closely with the marketing, commercial and partnerships team in the UK and in the US on the negotiation, drafting and reviewing of licensing and sponsorship agreements, technical partner agreements, marketing activations, fan engagement and partner experiences
- Understanding the regulatory framework and assisting the legal team on advising the business areas
- Dealing with ad-hoc enquiries from across the business and providing commercially minded legal advice and support
- Supporting with managing and exploiting intellectual property rights of the team including trademarks, copyright and proprietary racing technologies
- Working closely with the operations team on the legal input required on the projects relating to real estate and construction in the UK and the US
- Assisting with any dispute resolution and contract enforcement matters when necessary
- Supporting in the delivery of training and internal guidance to ensure legal awareness across the business

What do you need to bring to the team?
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with the right to practice in England and Wales with PQE experience, preferably in a commercial department of a law firm or a commercial in-house legal team
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts
- Strong understanding of English law, particularly commercial, IP, and contract law
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers
- Experience in sports related legal matters
- Knowledge of data protection regulations/legislation
- Understanding of property, construction and/or employment related matters
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
- Resilient and calm under pressure with excellent time management skills
- Collaborative and enthusiastic, with a passion for motorsport or high-performance environments
