About the Position.
BMW Group Canada was established in 1986 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of BMW AG, responsible for the distribution of BMW luxury performance automobiles, the MINI automobile brand and BMW motorcycles in Canada. BMW Group Canada is represented by a network of 48 automobile, 20 motorcycle, and 30 MINI Retailers across the country.
Our Corporate Headquarters, located in Richmond Hill, ON, is looking for a bi-lingual BMW Brand Communications intern for a 12-month contract. As a member of the BMW Brand Communications team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Management and upkeep of the BMW Canada Marketing Hub, including the uploading of finalized creative materials and assets for BMW Retailer use
- Brand and Retail Marketing: coordinate the execution of campaigns, delivery of multi-lingual communication, review of campaign assets and alignment of campaigns across national Tier-1 and Tier-2 marketing strategies
- Management of small scale projects and campaigns as required
- Creation of campaign reports by aggregating a variety of data sources and organizing results to help inform campaign planning activities
- Providing assistance in the creation of agency briefs, and the facilitation of agency/partner meetings at the BMW Group Canada headquarters and various agency partner locations in Toronto.
- Proof reading and/or creation of both English and French content to be utilized in advertising campaigns across a variety of communication channels, supporting the Brand Communications team during campaign execution
- Liaise with agencies, BMW AG and BMW of North America for Marketing campaigns and asset collection
- Budget management: training on the SAP system will be required, updating department tracking sheets, processing invoices and coordinating with Purchasing and A/P
- Management of the Marketing department overheads budget, including regular review of spend, and the creation of detailed reports outlining budget status
- Provide assistance with the management, tracking, and deployment of promotional incentives
- Responsible for monthly competitive analysis and Retailer updates
- Maintain the Retailer support inbox, assisting Retailers with Brand and CI topics
- Coordinate department meetings and take minutes when required
- Support BMW Brand Management functions as required
Qualifications.
- Fluency in French will be considered a strong asset, along with an interest in the automotive industry and luxury brand management.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines and collaborating cross-functionally will be keys to success in this position.
- The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who proactively looks for areas to contribute while working independently.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is required.
- A valid driver’s License is required.
