Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Flint Assembly on a full-time basis.
The Role:
As a leader in General Manufacturing Supply Chain, you will support the execution of business plans for the manufacturing operations. Responsible for providing support to manufacturing operations to help them achieve BPD plans and KPI objectives. This work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS (Global Manufacturing Systems) and standardized launch processes, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the ability to deal with complex problems and may supervise salaried employees involved in plant support operations in addition to the following:
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Provides assistance in analyzing and solving complex manufacturing problems
- Coaches, trains, develops and evaluates employees
- Assists in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations/projects
- Collaborate with outside teams and functions
- Administers divisional and Corporate policies
- Meets cost, schedule and quality requirements
- Maintain Corporate and unit management control systems, budget and other information necessary to monitor performance and maintain safety culture
- Establish recommendations to accomplish completion of projects
- Work involves a considerable amount of initiative in decision-making accompanied by a high level of independent discernment
- Assist in the implementation and coordination of manufacturing objectives.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in supply chain leadership roles
- At least 5 years of Manufacturing work experience (preferred in automotive industry)
- Available to work 2nd Shift (ability to work off-shift and over-time as needed)
- Experience working as a Team Leader
