Job Title: Engineering Apprentice
Reporting to: Engineering Team Lead

About the Role
We are looking for a talented and motivated Engineering Apprentice to join our busy and expanding team.
Working within a small cohesive team on challenging projects in a fast-moving environment, you’ll contribute to the design, testing, and quality assurance of high-performance transmission systems and components. You’ll support research and development efforts, assist with product validation, and take part in hands-on quality control at the end-of-line (EoL) stage. You will see the gearbox components and complete transmission systems progress from concept and design, through manufacture, to the racetrack.
You will have the opportunity to interface with all levels of our organization to help achieve the goals Xtrac has put in place in remaining the best transmission supplier on the market.
About You
Strong mechanical aptitude, ideally from engineering, motorsports, or automotive environments
Some experience with or exposure to 3D CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, TeamCenter 10 PLM)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly documents
Comfortable with mechanical assembly, test procedures, and basic maintenance tasks
Experience in reading data and manipulating it, a plus but not required
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, without compromising the quality of work
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable working across multiple teams and communicating effectively
Excellent IT skills with MS Office (Outlook365, Word, Excel, and Teams).
Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs safely
