We are looking for an Apprentice IT Support Engineer to join our growing IT team at MotorSport Vision (MSV) - the UK's foremost race circuit operator. We own and operate seven world-class venues across Europe, including Brands Hatch and Donington Park, plus a number of related motorsport businesses, such as the British Superbike Championship.</p>
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Junior Support Engineer to take the next step in their career and become part of the driving force behind a variety of exciting projects. As the Apprentice IT Support Engineer you will be continually learning and mastering new technologies, with a primary focus on first line support and general IT administration.</p>
You will be an integral part of the IT team and will be expected to contribute ideas in technical discussions, designs and decision-making within a forward-thinking, inspiring and creative working environment. Alongside the role you’ll be completing a Level 3 Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship.</p>
You will be involved with projects across all areas of the business, from office IT support to bespoke race circuit infrastructure systems.</p>
Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
Act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues (via phone, email, or ticketing system).</li> Log, track, and manage incidents and service requests</li> Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network problems</li> Assist users with password resets and account access issues</li> Escalate complex technical problems to specialists within the team</li> Install, configure, and support standard desktop applications and operating systems.</li> Perform routine checks on systems, printers, and other IT equipment</li> Guide users through simple step-by-step solutions to common IT issues</li> Maintain clear documentation of support issues and resolutions</li> Assist in setting up and maintaining user accounts, email, and permissions</li> Help with onboarding new employees by preparing and configuring devices</li> Support mobile devices and remote access where applicable</li> Keep up to date with company IT policies and security guidelines</li> </ul> Desirable Skills and Experience</strong></p>
Educated to A Level standard in a relevant subject e.g. Computing / IT</li> A strong desire to work in an IT support environment (helpdesk, service desk, or similar).</li> Basic troubleshooting of Windows operating systems</li> Experience using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li> Knowledge of basic networking concepts (e.g., Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, IP addressing).</li> Familiar with hardware setup and basic troubleshooting (PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals).</li> Basic understanding of IT security best practices (e.g., handling suspicious emails, data protection).</li> Ability to document solutions via Microsoft Office packages</li> </ul> This is an Apprenticeship position therefore meeting educational criteria is essential in our recruitment process.
