GM Israel takes a significant part in introducing software sophisticated software features into car in many domains like connected cars, advanced camera technologies and research. We shape the face of the future vehicles in diverse fields by developing cutting edge technologies. GM is committed to Zero Emission, Zero Crashes and Zero Congestion vision.
At GM’s Camera Viewing Group , our Algo team develops and deploys cutting-edge neural networks optimized for automotive edge devices. Our work spans both in-vehicle applications (e.g., cabin monitoring, driver/passenger safety) and out-of-vehicle perception (e.g., object detection). We are looking for a ML Engineer to drive innovation from research and prototyping in Python all the way to deployment on automotive edge hardware.
-
Design and implement advanced NN architectures for scene understanding tasks such as object detection, segmentation, and classification.
-
Train, fine-tune, and validate models on large-scale, real-world datasets to ensure robustness in diverse driving scenarios.
-
Optimize models for edge devices through techniques such as quantization, pruning, distillation, and hardware-aware training—balancing latency, memory, and power constraints.
-
Compile, deploy, and test NNs on automotive NN acceleration hardware platforms.
-
Collaborate closely with software and systems teams to allow seamless integration into the vehicle software pipeline.
-
Stay current with research trends in computer vision and efficient deep learning and help translate them into production-ready solutions.
