As a Customs and Export Control Analyst, you will ensure compliance of BMW US entities with the laws and regulations of U. S. Customs and Border Protection, Bureau of Industry and Security and all other government agencies that impact customs and export controls. This includes providing information and training to the BMW Group US entities in sound compliance practices in cooperation and alignment with the Customs and Export Control team members and managers.
WHAT AWAITS YOU.
- Implement customs and export control processes and projects as assigned by management including providing systems development support.
- Maintain customs and export control process documentation and work instructions in accordance with management approvals.
- Support the preparation, analysis, documentation, filing of any duty refund requested to the US authorities through the proper channels to ensure the proper financial impact in the business activities when importing/exporting.
- Develop processes, controls, record keeping and any audit preparation regarding duty payment.
- Support internal and external trade compliance audit activities as assigned by management.
- Support projects related to enhancement, implementation or development of new systems and tools applying waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Responsible for any required exploration, mapping, user stories, testing cases or other activities required to make sure the business requirements are properly developed and implemented to enable the Customs team to manage customs processes and enhance compliance.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.
- Bachelor’s Degree – preferably in International Business, International Studies or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a customs and export control compliance.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Licensed Customs Broker (preferred).

Relocation is available for this position.
This is a hybrid role that requires regular attendance in the office.
The expected salary range for this position is $57,900.00 - $95,500.00.
The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
