About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Finance Inventory Analyst to join our Finance team. This role plays a pivotal part in transforming how we manage and report on inventory, ensuring data integrity, process efficiency, and operational excellence.
Reporting to the Inventory Accountant, you will support the end-to-end transformation of inventory-related finance processes, leveraging your accounting knowledge and strong data capabilities to improve accuracy, visibility, and decision-making. You’ll work closely with the finance business partnering teams, IT and transformation teams to support our relentless pursuit of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and enhance inventory accounting and reconciliation processes to meet the regulatory and reporting requirements
Help map and optimise end-to-end inventory workflows.
Analyse large and complex datasets to identify variances, inefficiencies, and transformation opportunities.
Help develop and maintain real-time dashboards and performance reports to improve visibility and forecasting of stock and material flow, providing reporting to the Finance Business Partnering team
Assist in automating manual finance processes related to inventory tracking, valuation, and reporting.
Contribute to the integration of finance systems with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain tools, ensuring accurate and timely data across the business.
Support monthly close processes through data validation, journal support, and reporting.
Collaborate on continuous improvement projects to streamline the interaction between Finance and operational departments.
Act as a key contact for data queries and reporting relating to inventory, material movement, and finance systems.
Support in statutory and FIA audit queries as required
What you'll bring:
Essential
Part-qualified or qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent accounting experience.
Understanding of inventory accounting
Highly data-literate with strong Excel skills and experience with data analysis/visualisation tools e.g. Power BI
Comfortable working with large data volumes from complex systems and translating them into actionable insights.
Experience using or integrating ERP systems (preferably SAP or similar) in a fast-paced or production-focused environment.
Track record of supporting finance transformation or process improvement initiatives.
High attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
Desirable
Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or motorsport environment.
Familiarity with process automation (e.g. Alteryx, RPA) or advanced data tools.
Appreciation for the unique time pressures and quality expectations of a high-performance motorsport team.
