Tasks
The thesis can, for example, address one or more of the following aspects:
(Electromagnetic) design and/or construction and/or power loss analysis (analytical and/or simulation) of components (power electronics or electrical machine)
Control of electric drives (e.g., modulation methods, controller design, controller structure)
Design and/or power loss analysis of the electric drive system (power electronics and electrical machine)
Design and/or calculation/simulation of the thermal properties of electrical machines and/or power electronics
Preferred subject areas and the type of thesis (Bachelor's/Master's/Diploma) can be stated in the cover letter.
Requirements
Studies in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electromobility, aerospace engineering, or similar fields
Major fields of study: electrical engineering, drive engineering, or similar
Basic knowledge of electrical drives (e.g., electrical machines, converters, control engineering)
Good knowledge of Matlab and Simulink
Depending on the topic, ideally knowledge of STAR-CCM+ (thermal analysis) or CATIA V5 (design)
Good knowledge of German and English
Independent and structured approach
High motivation and ability to work in a team
