As a Composite Design Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-performance composite components across the full design lifecycle—from concept through to testing and development. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and refine your design expertise within a high-performance F1 environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop composite assemblies, including associated jigs, tooling, and patterns.
Produce detailed 3D surfacing and define laminate specifications.
Support the assembly, testing, and development of components.
Resolve design challenges arising during validation and development.
Collaborate across teams to refine concepts and optimise performance.
Contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise A degree (or equivalent experience) in composites or mechanical engineering.
Proven experience designing complex composite assemblies.
Proficiency in 3D CAD (ideally CATIA/3DX), including surfacing and detailed design.
Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing methods, particularly pre-preg.
Experience in motorsport or high-performance engineering (desirable).
Creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills and adaptability.
