Job Description:
- Seeking a Propulsion Systems Sub System Technical Manager support role.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support for all integration activities and interface for all issues (cost, timing, program planning, launch support, program resolution, etc)
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects.
- Oversees all aspects of projects.
- Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
- Leads and directs the work of others.
- Responsibilities include program planning, development and maintenance of master timing schedules, project risk assessments, change management, and project integration across the various functional departments.
- This position is responsible for program management of all Powertrain Engineering assembly plant end-items (focus on the interfaces with Vehicle Engineering).
- 8+ years of experience.
Requirements:
- 8+Years experience
- Design, development, and program management experience in broad powertrain functions and/or vehicle engineering in any of the following areas: engine, transmission, driveline, packaging, adaptation, controls, or calibration
- Demonstrated high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Demonstrated understanding of the Company product development processes, design validation, Key Process Indicators (KPI), and gate processes
- Demonstrated team building skills
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, and to work with minimal direction (ability to understand and complete next steps without guidance)
Preferred Requirements:
- Master of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent or
- Master of Business Administration Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
- Experience and understanding of the vehicle cost process
- Experience with the ER&D roll-up process
- Experience with Change Notice (CN) and Common Change Document (CCD) process
- Significant knowledge of the automotive industry and competitive benchmarks
- Program life cycle experience
- Experience as a Resident/Quality Engineer at one or more manufacturing plants
Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
