The Role:
The Race Procurement Manager will act as a champion for the Procurement department by leading, advising, and managing procurement across the business, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
- Procurement sourcing champion:Define the procurement strategy for relevant races and packages, work with stakeholders to gather and define requirements, identify risks, apply procurement policies. Collaborate with our Finance team to agree on payment terms and percentages and provide this information to Payables to raise POs.
- Driver of the tender process:Manage the tender process from end-to-end in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, define the scope of work, review tender submissions, negotiate terms and offers and prepare contracts for our legal and finance teams to review.
- Contract management:Manage any contract variations, approve invoices in line with contract terms, asses packages where necessary to ensure work has been completed. Provide cost comparisons of packages on races and updates to the Finance team for budget conclusions.
- Ensure strategic excellence:Develop a procurement plan that is scalable and agile by collaborating internally with relevant stakeholders and make strategic recommendations to the procurement lead. Partner with key stakeholders to ensure projects and initiatives are appropriately communicated and implemented.
- System & Record Tracking:Ensure all non-disclosure agreements, prequalification questionnaires (PQQ’s) and sustainability questionnaires (SQ’s) are issued and tracked. Manage and update procurement trackers, policies and guidance.
What we're looking for in you:
- Strategic Sourcing: Experience in creating and managing a sourcing schedule and managing stakeholders to ensure packages are secured on a timely basis.
- Seamless Tender Execution:Experience in managing tender process from beginning to end.
- Contract Acumen: Understanding key elements of a contract (contracts to include scope, drawings, dates deliverables, KPIs etc.).
- Analytical thinker: Ability to summarise technical and commercial information/data and create understandable comparisons of data/information for decision making.
- Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
