The future generations of all Porsche vehicle models are developed at the Weissach Development Center. Central Departmental Management, as a neutral authority, consolidates the management of non-technical cross-cutting issues. It is responsible for, among other things, the development location and development investment budget, the vehicle development process including project-specific vehicle scheduling, resource management, procurement strategy, professional employee qualifications, the development budget, recourse, supplier evaluation, and the PMT architecture with the IT budget.
During your internship, you will gain comprehensive insights into the Porsche working world and, depending on the focus of your studies, support us in one of the described departments and their projects and activities:
Development budget planning
Planning and controlling the budget requirements of vehicle projects
Creating forecasts and projections for the development budget
Further development of IT tools
Implementation of strategic planning
Development, analysis, and forecasts of key performance indicators to support individual and project management
Development cost planning and project management
Processing and visualization of information to support project management (e.g., fiscal year closing)
Scheduling and vehicle development process
Participation in the operational project scheduling of future vehicle projects
FEP vehicle development process
Preparation and follow-up of documents for committees and their participation
Support as an interface for various cross-cutting project work within the respective vehicle projects
Resources, qualifications, and procurement strategy
Assistance in the further development of the procurement of development services
of decision-making documents for internal and external management committees
Support in Design of professional qualifications in the Development Center
Communication/coordination with internal departments and external partners
Process, method, and tool architecture
Participation in the introduction of systems engineering in the Development department
Support of process, method, and tool architects in the following areas within the Development department:
Process modeling and modeling of complex systems
Development of a process-oriented IT architecture
Design of a future-proof IT portfolio management system
Requirements
Degree in a technical, business, computer science, or comparable field
Independent, analytical, and structured way of working
Ability to recognize connections and process them visually
Confident use of MS Office and IT affinity
High affinity for automotive applications
Knowledge of decision-making processes in the automotive industry as well as project and process management desirable
Innovative thinking and enjoyment of working in a team
