As a Supplier quality engineer at BMW Group Plant Debrecen, you're a crucial part of our vision to revolutionize the way we think about cars.
What awaits you?
- Work environment – you work in a modern, digitalized, open-office environment together with other office employees and your direct teammates. The workspace includes tea kitchens, cafés, ergonomic workstations, and even an on-site company cafeteria.
- Team – as a member of our supplier quality engineering team, you work in a multicultural group of more than 15 people, including junior, mid-level, and senior colleagues.
- Ensuring compliance – you make sure that the components produced by suppliers meet BMW’s requirements.
- Managing audits – in the case of defective parts, you conduct audits, analyse the results, and take immediate action to eliminate the issues. You also carry out on-site audits at suppliers, assess their quality management systems, and resolve quality-related problems.
- Handling improvement and approval processes – you help evaluate risks and support the development of products and processes. You manage the approval processes of components.
- Collaboration with the quality team – you work closely with quality assurance engineers on various quality planning tasks. To ensure effective problem-solving, you maintain continuous communication with BMW plants and international teams.
What should you bring along?
- Education – You hold an engineering degree (or relevant professional experience with secondary education).
- Work experience – You have 1–5 years of professional experience in quality management or a similar role.
- Work schedule – The position is on-site, following standard office hours. Occasional remote work is possible based on agreement with your direct manager.
- Required skills – You have solid knowledge of quality management and supplier management. You are experienced in continuous improvement and value stream management. You are proactive, open to learning and development, and not afraid of challenges.
- Language skills – You speak Hungarian and English fluently (German is an advantage).
- Willingness to travel – You are open to domestic and international travel.
