Joining the FIA as a Junior Compliance Associate is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of ethics and compliance within an international and dynamic environment. Working closely with the FIA Compliance Officer, you will actively contribute to initiatives that uphold the organisation’s integrity and good governance. This role offers a strong learning curve across core compliance areas such as Due diligence, incident management and investigations, and stakeholder engagement — providing valuable exposure to both operational and strategic aspects of compliance work.
You will report to the compliance officer, and it is a temporary position until the end of the year.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support in conducting due diligence on third parties, grants, and tendering processes
- Coordinate the collection, analysis, and follow-up of Declarations of Interest forms (DOIF) and support in reviewing positively identified cases
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Compliance Officer in meeting coordination and assistance with investigations to support the Ethics Committee
- Participate in review and follow up on incidents reported via the Compliance Hotline
- Participate in the drafting and review of policies, procedures, and training modules
- Contribute to the Compliance Officer’s Annual Report
- Provide support on ad hoc compliance and ethics-related projects
PROFILE:
- Master’s degree in law, Compliance, or a related field
- Approximately 1 year of relevant experience (internships included)
- Fluency in English (minimum C1 level), both written and spoken, is required; proficiency in an additional language is an asset.
- Good knowledge of key compliance topics:
- Due diligence processes
- Conflict of interest management
- Ethics and integrity frameworks
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Collaborative and diplomatic, with a strong sense of integrity
- Curious and eager to learn in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Comfortable interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
